The English-language crowdfunding campaign on Syncable, which we launched on October 1, 2025, has successfully concluded.
During the campaign period, we received 10 contributions from individuals and organizations, totaling 115,383 JPY.
At the same time, our CAMPFIRE crowdfunding campaign, which also began on October 1, successfully concluded on November 15.
A total of 59 supporters contributed 592,000 JPY through this campaign.
Shortly after the campaigns began, we were contacted by ASNR (the French Nuclear Safety and Radiation Protection Authority), expressing their willingness to support the Dialogue by covering translation and video-publication costs.
Due to internal regulations, ASNR could not donate directly through crowdfunding platforms (Syncable/CAMPFIRE). Instead, they provided support by directly paying the invoice issued by our translation company. This process was completed during the campaign period.
By combining the contributions received through Syncable, CAMPFIRE, and ASNR’s direct support, we surpassed our initial fundraising goal of 1,000,000 JPY by a significant margin.
We are sincerely grateful for the warm encouragement and generosity extended to us by so many people.
This campaign reminded us once again that the Fukushima Dialogue is supported by a wide community both in Japan and overseas.
Your encouragement for our mission—listening to local voices and thinking together—continues to inspire our work.
The contributions we received will be used not only for our originally planned purposes:
Childcare support for Dialogue participants
Transportation assistance for participants and staff
Administrative costs essential for hosting the Dialogue
but also to support other ongoing activities of our organization.
Your generosity has helped us create an environment where everyone can participate comfortably and fully engage in meaningful dialogue.
With heartfelt appreciation, we will continue our preparations to ensure that the 27th Fukushima Dialogue in December will be a meaningful and fruitful event.Thank you once again for supporting and walking alongside NPO Fukushima Dialogue.
